Policies

Check-In/Out

Check-in is between 4 and 7 pm. Our inn is closed between the hours of 11am and 4pm in order to give our staff time to prepare for our guest's arrival. Please let the innkeeper know if you need an early or late arrival. We will do our best to accommodate you. 

Check-out time is 11 am. We are happy to store your luggage should you need some extra time before departure.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible. Should  you cancel within 14 days of your reservation (30 days for special events and holidays*) the full amount of that reservation will be retained. If further out than 14 days, your first night's deposit will be retained with no additional charges. Please note: Cancellations and changes must be made by email or by speaking directly with the innkeeper if reservation was made directly with Inn. If booking was made thru outside booking engine, cancellation must be made thru that website. Cancellations via voicemail are not accepted.

Privacy

Our guest's privacy is an utmost concern. We will never share your email or personal information with anyone. 

Pets

As much as we love pets, we do not allow them to stay as guests. This was a tough decision for us. Respect for our guests and any possible allergies keeps us pet-free. Clifton Heights Inn is exempt from the ADA rules due to the size of our property.

Children

We are serious fans of kids! We managed to raise 3 of our own! As much as we would like to accommodate  children under the age of 14 we can't. The majority of our guests are here for a "get-away."  We do our very best to respect their need for privacy and quiet. 

Room Occupancy

We have a two person per room maximum. There is a two-night minimum reservation requirement for all weekends, special events and holidays.* Please be aware that our insurance does not cover anyone except paying guests. Due to that clause in our policy, we ask that you not entertain guests during your stay.

Smoking and Open Flames

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Inn. This includes any type of vapor or electronic cigarettes. Please feel free to smoke outside on our patio or in the garden east of the Inn.

In addition, please no open flames or incense in your room. This is a very old building and we are quite fond of it! Should there be evidence of any of the above mentioned, a $250 cleaning fee will be charged to the room. We have supplied each room with battery operated candles with remote control.

ADA

Clifton Heights Inn is not required to be ADA compliant due to the age of the property. Please be aware that there are LOTS of stairs. We are happy to help with luggage if necessary. All sleeping rooms are on upper levels.

*Special Events and Holidays are the following: Conventions, music events, sporting events, special attractions, New Year's, Valentine's Day, Groundhog Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Information Collection

Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience in making reservations at Clifton Heights Inn. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this. Personally identifiable information is only obtained when making a reservation.

We sometimes use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of the Site to measure effectiveness and safety. A "cookie" is a small file that gets placed on your harddrive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose to.

Security

At Clifton Heights Inn we take security seriously. When users make a reservation we use every precaution to safe guard it online and offline.

Policy Modifications

Clifton Heights Inn  may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
